Are you interested in making a career working in these areas? If so, then studying public history at Brandon University Public History may be right for you!<\/p>\n<p>Students can major or minor in Public History or pursue a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/future-students\/programs\/certificate-programs\/\">Certificate in Public History<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Brandon University offers the following Public History courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>54.250\u00a0 Introduction to Public History<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>54:341\u00a0 Understanding Archives<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>54.351 \u00a0 Museums<\/span><\/li>\n<li>54:356\u00a0 Public History in Canada<\/li>\n<li><span>54.371 \u00a0 Oral History<\/span><\/li>\n<li>54.401\u00a0 The Practice of Public History<\/li>\n<li><span>54.499\u00a0 Topics in History<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All courses provide students with \u201creal world\u201d public history experience and the opportunity to network with professionals from across the field. Coursework and projects are typically developed in collaboration with museums, historic sites, and other public history venues.<\/p>\n<p>Students majoring in Public History can choose to complete their entire program in Public History at Brandon University or take a year of study in Media Arts at Assiniboine College to hone further technical skills applicable to the field of Public History.
