FACULTY RECRUITMENT<\/h4>\n

Human Resources has created A Guide to Faculty Recruiting to assist you in this process.\u00a0 The guide offers advice ranging from determining job criteria to job postings, and from shortlisting candidates appropriately to interviewing candidates successfully. While this guide contains valuable information regarding the areas of protected Human Rights, the duty to accommodate, and the privacy rights of candidates, it is offered as a tool to assist you in your faculty searches.\u00a0 It is not intended to be the only resource for you to use, but it has been tailored to Brandon University.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, prior to the start of a selection process, selection committee members, including the Chair, are required to participate in the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization, and Reconciliation (EDIDR) training (in accordance with Article 5.6.2 of the BUFA Collective Agreement).\u00a0 It is the responsibility of the Chair to ensure all members of the committee are aware of this requirement and to verify that the requirement has been satisfied with Human Resources.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have also provided some quick reference sheets for you as you move along the recruitment process.<\/p>\n

NON-ACADEMIC RECRUITMENT<\/h4>\n

Just as the Faculty Guide to Recruiting<\/em> was created to assist those involved in the recruitment of new faculty members, the Non-Academic Recruitment Guidelines were created to aid those who participate in the recruitment of administrators and support staff.\u00a0 These guidelines will help support the recruitment of MGEU, IUOE and Exempt staff.<\/p>\n

Training workshops will be offered to help support those who may be participating in an upcoming recruitment.\u00a0 We encourage committee members to review the guidelines and training content every year as new practices may be implemented.\u00a0 \u00a0For more information or to sign up for a workshop, please contact Erica Brown<\/a>, Learning & Organizational Development Program Manager.<\/p>\n
