Vetting: &ldquo;Request official credentials statement&rdquo; on the Request for Contract form when it is submitted to Human Resources for processing.<br \/>\n\t\tThe statement that Human Resources will then include in the contract is:<br \/>\n\t\t&ldquo;This offer is contingent upon Brandon University receiving your official credentials by the date your employment is to commence.&rdquo;\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tIt is the responsibility of the Dean\/Director, President or Vice-President who is offering the employment contract to follow-up with the candidate to ensure the credentials are in the Human Resources office prior to the start date, or no pay will be issued until the credentials are received.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tFor purposes of this policy, &ldquo;credentials&rdquo; include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tofficial transcripts (in the case of Brandon University transcripts, a copy will suffice);\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tdegrees;\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\ttrade qualification, professional designation, diploma\/certificate;\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tnotarized copy of the above; or\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t\t\tcertified true copy by hiring area or Human Resources &ndash; dated and signed by individual who made the copy.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\n\t<strong>(Recruitment &amp; Credentials.doc)<\/strong><br \/>\n\t<strong>Approved by PAG, October 17, 2007<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This policy applies to recruitment for all faculty and staff positions.
