Duties:

Brandon University is seeking Tutors to assist students in understanding and learning course content material beginning September 2019. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in one-on-one or small group tutoring settings. Tutors will provide the following:

  • Assist students with understanding content material by providing explanations, suggestions, and clarifications with patience and enthusiasm;
  • Model student success strategies;
  • Attend training in early September and communicate regularly with the supervisor;
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Two years of coursework at the post-secondary level;
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA or better in the courses you wish to tutor;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Comfortable working with students one-on-one or in a small group;
  • Willingness to work flexible hours that correspond to student schedules.
