Administrative Associate, Student Advisor, Department of Psychiatric Nursing (Winnipeg Location)

Applications are invited for a 0.5 EFT Student Advisor position in the Department of Psychiatric Nursing at the Winnipeg campus. We seek individuals with a commitment to excellence in psychiatric nursing education. Responsibilities include: student advising and assisting students with academic and personal concerns; serving as an advocate for students; planning and conducting orientation sessions for pre-psychiatric and for students entering Year 2 of the BScPN program in Winnipeg; reviewing applications for admission; maintaining student records; participating in student recruitment activities; and performing public relation duties for the Department of Psychiatric Nursing.


  • Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the CRNM or the CRPNM required;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing or related discipline is required;
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required; and
  • The ideal applicant will have a minimum of two years’ experience in academic advising at a post-secondary level preferred.
