The Department of English and Creative Writing at Brandon University is seeking to fill one (1) twelve-month term position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Creative Writing.


Qualifications: The ideal candidate would be a practicing writer, hold a graduate degree in Creative Writing or a related discipline, demonstrate excellence in teaching, and have a strong publication record.


Duties will include teaching introductory courses in Creative Writing and upper level courses in creative nonfiction, playwriting, and short fiction.


The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, will have an active research profile, and will be willing to participate collegially in the life of the university.


Start Date: August 1, 2019

Rank and Salary: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per Brandon University’s Faculty Association Collective Agreement
