Wage: $32.14 per hour
Start date: April 16, 2018
Probation: Minimum of 6 months to a 12 month maximum


The Project Coordinator will:

  • provide direct support to Physical Plant Managers as it relates to maintenance and project management, participate in meetings with clients and contractors to record minutes, collect documents and keep records;
  • develop and maintain a new electronic file system, record keeping, create procedural guidelines and workflow monitoring;
  • provide customer support internally and externally;
  • act as the information hub for communicating project status;
  • assist with creating estimates of time and material for all maintenance jobs and projects;
  • complete purchase requisitions ensuring procurement requirements are met, process vendor invoices for payment;
  • invoice internal and external customers for work orders and utilities, create monthly summary reports of all projects;
  • provide relief when the Physical Plant Office Assistant is absent;
  • and other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess 2-3 years’ post-secondary education in Business Administration or Project Management in a related field and have a minimum of 3 years related experience in a Coordinator role or a comparable combination of education and experience are required.  Superior communication and organization development skills, including the use of relevant analysis tools, coupled with a proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities, including processing and recording accounting-related components within a dynamic environment are necessary qualifications.  The successful candidate must have demonstrated customer service skills, teamwork experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.


Desirable Qualifications:

Familiarity with risk management, quality assurance controls, along with advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, a working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Planner are considered assets.
