Recruitment Officer, 7-Month Term – Recruitment and Retention

Brandon University seeks an energetic and dynamic professional to serve in a full-time, 7-month term as a Recruitment Officer.  Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and Retention, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of a recruitment campaign that promotes Brandon University’s programs and services to prospective students, parents, teachers, and guidance counsellors. The successful candidate will focus on recruiting First Nations, Métis and Inuit students.  The Recruitment Officer will support new students through admission and registration processes as required. This position requires extensive travelling.

A Bachelor’s degree is required, and two years of related experience is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required. The successful candidate must possess a valid driver’s license Preference will be given to candidates of First Nations, Métis or Inuit origin. Knowledge of Indigenous culture, experience working with Indigenous learners, and experience working with Indigenous post-secondary sponsors/funding agencies will be considered assets.

Rank and Salary:  Administrative Associate commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required.

 Preferred Start Date:   October 11, 2022 or upon the availability of the successful candidate.
