This is an excellent opportunity for students currently enrolled in the MPN program to collaborate with investigators from the Faculty of Health Studies in order to acquire advanced research training.


Specific research activities will be determined in collaboration with faculty member and his/her research project needs. Research may be quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods. Duties may include:

  • Conducing literature searches
  • Recruiting research participants
  • Transcribing interviews
  • Assisting with data collection
  • Assisting with data entry, data analysis, and coding
  • Assisting with knowledge translation activities (i.e. creating scholarly posters, developing research presentations)

Positon Requirements:

  • Enrollment in the Master of Psychiatric Nursing program
  • Completion of 75.653 – Qualitative Health Research Methods and 75.654 – Quantitative Health Research Methods (preferred)
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Ability to work independently
  • Possession of strong interpersonal skills
  • Possession of excellent writing skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
