Duties:

You will be responsible for directing the program at your university, recruiting volunteers and educators; training and supporting volunteers; maintaining site records including finances; acquiring additional funding; writing reports; planning outreach in rural and remote communities; and attending at least one fully funded Let’s Talk Science conference annually, and other related duties as assigned. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Be registered in a graduate or undergraduate degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics related discipline
  • Have a passion for science, science outreach and education
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Have strong leadership skills
  • Have outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Have a high level of computer experience with Internet applications and Microsoft Office Suite
