Resource Room Manager – Faculty of Education

Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm – varies as required. Average 8 hrs per week.

The manager is responsible for maintaining the financial accounts for the successful operation of the Resource Room, for maintaining equipment and supplies, for collecting memberships to the Resource Room, for assisting students with using curriculum guides and making copies of their assignments, for recruitment of resource room staff, for training the staff on the equipment and Education resources as well as working with the Education Students Society Committee to help support fellow Education students, along with other related duties as assigned.


Preference is given to Education students currently working in the Resource Room who are in first year who will be entering the second year of their program in Fall 2019 as they will have gained the necessary knowledge and experience about the Resource Room, its resources and function.

Desired qualifications include some bookkeeping experience, customer service and cash-handling experience, strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple demands calmly and effective communication skills.
