Sessional Instructor, Department of Mathematics & Computer Science, Faculty of Science

The Department of Mathematics & Computer Science at Brandon University invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach 62.152 Contemporary Mathematics in second term 2019-20. Second term courses begin January 6, 2020, and the last day of examinations is April 22, 2020.


The course is designed for Early/Middle Years Education programs and covers mathematical concepts, which form the Early Years to Middle Years curriculum. Lectures will be on Monday evenings, 6:00pm to 9:00pm, and lab sessions will be Wednesday evenings, 6:00pm to 8:00pm.


Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Mathematics, in Mathematics Education, or in a closely related discipline. The current salary for sessional appointments is $6205 for each 3 credit hours of instruction (equivalent to one course).  [Sessional appointments are limited to a university-wide maximum of 12 credit hours (4 courses).]
