The Faculty of Education is seeking qualified sessional instructors to teach the following courses during the 2019-20 academic year in our Graduate program:


02.780 (NET) Curriculum Foundations (Fall 2019 Session)

This is a foundational course in the Curriculum and Pedagogy M.Ed. program and also a required course for Educational Administration students. The calendar description states: This course explores the philosophical, political, and sociological foundations of curricula. The foundation will lead students to critically examine 21st century curriculum models in relation to their ability to meet the needs of diverse learners.


02.783 (NET) Contemporary Approaches to Curriculum Studies (Fall 2019 Session)

This course is focused on developing an understanding of the curriculum planning cycle including assessment of needs, philosophical orientations to curriculum design, implementation and evaluation of curriculum in order to meet the diverse learning needs of 21st century students.



Applicants must hold a Master’s of Education. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D with a specialization in curriculum and pedagogy. Applicants must have knowledge of philosophical and theoretical curriculum foundations. An understanding of Manitoba school curriculum, successful teaching in K-12 classrooms, and experience in teaching online would be assets. Successful candidates must also be accepted into the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Salary: As of September 1, 2019, $6,205 per 3 credit hour course
