Achieving a standard of excellence in nursing and psychiatric nursing education demands the efforts of excellent instructors. The Faculty of Health Studies offers four-year programs leading to a Bachelor of Nursing (Brandon) and Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (Brandon and Winnipeg). At various times of the academic year Sessional Academic Instructors are required to provide academic instruction to students in Brandon or Winnipeg.

69.253 – Fundamentals of Psychiatric Nursing III (Monday, 13:40 – 16:30) (3 credit hours)
69.360 – Community Health (Tuesday, 9:00 – 12:00) (4 credit hours)
Winnipeg – Term I – Theory:
69.257 – Fundamentals of Psychiatric Nursing II (Monday, 9:00 – 12:00) (3 credit hours)
69.359 – Psychiatric Nursing with Children and Adolescents (Tuesday, 9:00 – 12:00) (3 credit hours)
69.457 – Introduction to Health Research Methods (Tuesday, 13:00 – 16:00) (3 credit hours)
Winnipeg – Term II – Theory:
69.161 – Introduction to Interpersonal Communication (2 sections: Tuesday or Thursday, 13:00 – 16:00) (3 credit hours)

Qualifications:
- Preferred candidates will hold a graduate degree in nursing or psychiatric nursing with a minimum of five years clinical experience in a related field.
- All candidates must hold current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM).
- Recent teaching experience preferred.
Salary: $6,314 per 3 credit hour course (2023 stipend rates)
