Duties:
The Athletics & Recreation Assistant supports top-notch execution of events in the Healthy Living Centre facility.
-Assist with inventory management of athletic equipment, canteen and merchandise, and organization of storage rooms
-Assist with Campus Recreation events, organizing and communication with Campus Recreation teams
-Update and disseminate athletic game night signage, such as menus and VIP areas
-Monitoring of sports equipment and reporting on wear or shrinkage
-Ability to relate to visitors of a varied age and of diverse populations
-Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
-Must be familiar with food service operations
-Considerable advanced skills and judgment
-Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively
-Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills and self-motivated
-Event management or experience running tournaments and leagues is an asset
-Certification in food handling or serving it safe is an asset
-Preference given to current Brandon University student; nearing completion or having completed undergraduate degree
-Must be available to work weekends and varied day shifts
