Duties:

* Help Brandon University Transition students with science related questions via MS Teams or in person;
* Help BU students in first and second year science course (15:172 Anatomy and Physiology II)
* Be available on a consistent schedule for 96 hours in the semester
* Refer students to appropriate university resources
* Encourage students in their academic endeavors
* Record and report attendance weekly

Qualifications/Experience

* Registered BU student (2nd year or more) and must have completed the above mentioned course
* Minimum 2.5 GPA
* Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable with working one-on-one or with more students
* Ability to help students understand science concepts with patience and enthusiasm
* Ability to work with little or no supervision
* Punctual
* Previous experience as a laboratory assistant in the science department is an asset
