Duties:
1. Create materials to assist with recruitment or orientation to a specific area/department’s programs
2. Assist with recruitment and communications initiatives, including, but not limited to, develop materials for prospective students, students and other stakeholders
3. Create marketing materials to promote the recruitment and retention of students
4. Create photos and videos to promote the university, specific faculties and various audiences
5. Work with stakeholders, administration, alumni, and current students to create profiles for marketing purposes
6. Assist with mail outs, recruitment package assembly, and email reminders to students
7. Maintain presence on Brandon University social media accounts
8. Other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
Skillset:
1. Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively as part of a team
2. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, and self-motivated; excellent computer skills
4. Ability to monitor and update social media presence
Education:
1. Preference given to current Brandon University student; nearing completion of or completion of an undergraduate degree
Experience:
1. Advanced training and/or specialized experience, plus online marketing and analytics experience
2. Advanced communications experience, especially in video creation and editing is a strong asset
3. Experience maintaining a social media presence in a professional environment is an asset
