  • Assist the staff in the Indigenous Peoples’ Centre develop transition to academic and campus life programs and events for Orientation week in conjunction with various campus and community partners;
  • Assist in the development of necessary communication materials for new students and families;
  • Execute a phone and email campaign targeted at assisting self-declared Indigenous students with the transition to university;
  • Deliver campus tours;
  • Refer PENT students to appropriate on and off campus resources;
  • Update IPC social media pages;
  • Administrative duties such as data entry, mail outs etc.;
  • Assist organizers with Indigenous Alumni reunion;
  • Other related duties as assigned.


  • Sessional G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher at time of application
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated critical and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team
  • Knowledge of campus and community resources
  • Respect for and enthusiasm about serving a diverse population
  • Excellent computer skills (word processing, email, database management, spreadsheets) with experience in desktop publishing and mail merge an asset
