It is one of the cornerstones of a liberal arts and sciences education.<\/p>\n<h3>Why study French and Francophone Studies at Brandon University?<\/h3>\n<p>Did you know&#8230;?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>French is one of the two <strong>official languages<\/strong> of Canada and one of the many founding nations of Canada (French, English, and Indigenous);<\/li>\n<li>it is the third <strong>most studied<\/strong> language in the world;<\/li>\n<li>and it is set to become the world&#8217;s <strong>most spoken<\/strong> language by 2050.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In fact, according to a recent article in the\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/business\/careers\/article-theres-a-war-for-talent-bilingual-job-applicants-are-so-coveted-they\/\">Globe and Mail<\/a>, <\/em>&#8220;Francophone candidates are in the driver\u2019s seat. They can demand \u2013 and receive \u2013 lucrative salaries and perks in the current market, he said.
