The list of requirements can be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/calendar\/\">Graduate Course Calendar<\/a> Section 9.2.<\/li>\n<li>Contact one of the faculty members in the core Departments (Biology, Chemistry,\u00a0Geography, Geology, and ADES) or the\u00a0Environmental Science program for information about available projects and supervisors. (Listed on our MELS Faculty Directory page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/mels\/mels-faculty-directory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>). <strong>A faculty member must be willing to supervise the prospective student prior to their\u00a0applying to the program.<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Please Note: A minimum GPA of 3.30 (out of 4.30) in the last 30 hours of study is normally required for Admissions to the MELS program. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Important notice for international students:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>English Language Proficiency Requirements can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/future-students\/apply\/english-proficiency-requirements\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/span>Once a supervisor has been found applicants must:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Complete an Online\u00a0University Application found <a href=\"https:\/\/webapp.brandonu.ca\/pls\/admission\/f?p=114:LOGIN:420623399938\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Complete and submit by email or mail\u00a0the MELS Information Form found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/mels\/files\/MELS-Information-Form-Revised-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Submit\u00a0by email or mail the following supporting documents:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Resume\/CV<\/li>\n<li>Statement of interest &#8211; <strong>including a mention of the agreement with a supervisor<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Two letters of reference.
