If you have not previously attended Brandon University, you will need to complete a separate form and pay a fee for admission to Brandon University. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/graduate-studies\/applications\">Information about admission to Brandon University can be obtained online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Questions about admission to Brandon University can be directed to:<\/p>\n<p>Admissions Office<br \/>\nRoom 104, A.E. McKenzie Building<br \/>\n270 &#8211; 18th Street<br \/>\nBrandon, MB<br \/>\nR7A 6A9<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"education\"><\/a>Educational Background<\/h2>\n<p><strong>A relevant undergraduate degree is required for admission.<\/strong> The undergraduate degree must include a research methods course and a statistics course. If the statistics course and research methods courses are not clearly identifiable on your transcript, please include a course description with this application. If you have questions about the suitability of the courses, please contact the Coordinator of the MPN program to discuss further.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"transcripts\"><\/a>University Transcripts<\/h2>\n<p>Submission of transcripts differs for students who have, and have not attended Brandon University.<\/p>\n<h3>Applicants who have not been admitted to Brandon University<\/h3>\n<p>If you are applying for admission to Brandon University, transcripts will be submitted with your application to Brandon University.<\/p>\n<h3>Applicants who have previously attended Brandon University<\/h3>\n<p>You will not need to submit a transcript from Brandon University. However, official transcripts for subsequent courses \/ programs taken at other institutions must be submitted with this application.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"resume\"><\/a>Curriculum Vitae \/ Resum\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>The Curriculum Vitae \/ Resum\u00e9 should include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Educational preparation;<\/li>\n<li>Employment experience, indicating level of responsibility;<\/li>\n<li>Community service, including involvement in professional associations;<\/li>\n<li>Awards and honours<\/li>\n<li>Research projects and publications;<\/li>\n<li>Continuing education;<\/li>\n<li>Innovation in clinical practice; and<\/li>\n<li>Any other supporting information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a name=\"expertise\"><\/a>Proof of Licensure<\/h2>\n<p>Proof of licensure as a registered psychiatric nurse or registered nurse in Canada is required.<\/p>\n<ol><\/ol>\n<h2><a name=\"statement\"><\/a>Proof of Practice Hours<\/h2>\n<p>At least 1800 hours of practice experience in psychiatric\/mental nursing is required.<\/p>\n<h2>Statement of Interest<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Please submit a brief essay (500-750 words)<\/strong> outlining your rationale for choosing the MPN program, as well as areas of research interest for thesis consideration.<a href=\"&#109;a&#x69;l&#x74;o&#x3a;&#97;&#x64;&#109;&#x69;&#115;s&#x69;o&#x6e;s&#x40;&#98;&#x72;&#97;&#x6e;&#100;&#x6f;&#110;u&#x2e;c&#x61;\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Letter of Recommendation<\/h2>\n<p>Two confidential letters of reference, one from an academic referee is preferred and one from a supervisor within the past five years is required.
