Clarinet Festival 2022

Please join us in-person for the 12th annual Brandon University Clarinet Festival on March 19th and 20th, 2022.

This year’s festival features the members of the Devil Sticks clarinet quartet and the music of Patrick Conlon in celebration of their recent album release. The members include: ethnomusicologist and music producer Christina Giacona (University of Oklahoma, Onyx Lane); administrator and educator Meghan Merciers (University of North Alabama, Shoals Symphony); Buffet artist, orchestral and studio musician Spencer Prewitt (Austin Peay State University); and festival host, Buffet and Vandoren artist Cathy Wood (Brandon University). They are joined by composer, violinist and producer Patrick Conlon (Academy of Contemporary Music UCO, Onyx Lane). The festival will also feature St. John’s Music repair expert Ed Machado, Reed Geek demonstrations by Christian Ilagan and a mass festival clarinet choir led by BU conductor Wendy McCallum.

  • Workshops, and Classes
  • Mass Festival Clarinet Choir for all participants (all levels)
  • Concerts featuring clarinet choirs and guest artists
  • Buffet Crampon, Vandoren and St. John’s Music
  • Free repairs and prize draws!

All events take place at Brandon University School of Music. Masks and proof of full vaccination required.
