This August long weekend marks the tenth season of the Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival directed by internationally acclaimed concert pianist and professor at\u00a0Brandon\u00a0University, Alexander Tselyakov<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 This year\u2019s festival is comprised of seven concerts:<\/strong> a piano recital, four chamber concerts and two jazz events. \u00a0 Performances run from July 30th <\/sup>– August 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0and feature a wide variety of musical styles and artists.<\/p>\n

The Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival has become an important part of\u00a0Canada\u2019s cultural calendar delighting people of all ages with a powerful musical experience.\u00a0 This year\u2019s ambitious schedule is sure to please and promises to grow the number of classical music lovers as well as satisfy the appetites of seasoned enthusiasts.\u00a0The large scale roster of talented guest artists include:\u00a0Alexander Tselyakov, Alla Turbanova,\u00a0Daniel Tselyakov, piano; Marc Djokic, violin; Laszlo Baroczi, viola; Simon Fryer, cello; Crystal Tait, double bass; Ken MacDonald, horn;\u00a0<\/strong>Colin Mehmel, clarinet;\u00a0 Greg Gatien, saxophone;\u00a0Eric Platz, percussion;\u00a0and special guest Dr. Gervan Fearon (President Brandon University) on saxophone.<\/p>\n

The wide variety in programming is sure to keep audience members engaged, and the exceptional musical talent guarantees an exciting and pleasurable experience for all.<\/p>\n

\nCELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF CHAMBER MUSIC<\/em><\/strong>, the 2015 Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival will bring music to three Manitoba communities: the Erickson Lutheran Church, Lorne Watson Recital Hall in Brandon –\u00a0Daniel Tselyakov in Recital\/the Opening Night with wine & cheese reception (July 30) – , and “The Martese” at the Marina in Clear Lake.<\/p>\n

Concerts begin\u00a0Thursday, July 30 at 7:30 pm\u00a0and continue until the afternoon of\u00a0Monday, August 3, 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

\nDon\u2019t miss the grand finale, featuring one of the greatest violin-piano sonatas ever written by C\u00e9sar Franck performed by Daniel Tselyakov and Marc Djokic. The world\u00a0premi\u00e8re<\/em>\u00a0of Brandon composer T. Patrick Carrabr\u00e9\u2019s \u201d Clear Lake at Dusk\u201d, a commissioned quartet for the 10th anniversary of the Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival 2015 and dedicated to Alexander Tselyakov. Hummel\u2019s wonderfully fresh and minutely sensitive Piano Quintet Op. 87.
