CELEBRATING 12 YEARS OF CHAMBER MUSIC<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>The second week of July marks the twelfth season of the Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival directed by pianists Alexander Tselyakov and Daniel Tselyakov. This year\u2019s festival is comprised of six concerts: a piano recital, three chamber concerts and two jazz concerts. Performances run from Wednesday, July 12 \u2013 Sunday, July 16 and feature a wide variety of musical styles and artists.<\/p>\n

The Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival continues to be an important part of Canada\u2019s cultural calendar, delighting people of all ages with a powerful musical experience. This year\u2019s ambitious schedule is sure to please, and promises to inspire new lovers of classical music, as well as satisfy the appetites of seasoned enthusiasts. The large scale roster of talented guest artists include: Alexander Tselyakov, Piano; Greg Gatien, Saxophone; Daniel Tselyakov, Piano; Oleg Pokhanovsky, Violin; Rodica Jeffrey, Violin; Laszlo Baroczi, Viola; Brian Yoon, Cello; Peter Stoll, Clarinet; Alla Turbanova, Piano; Dean McNeill, Trumpet; Graydon Cramer, Percussion; Shannon Kristjanson, Saxophone, Flute, Voice and Jordan Panko, Jazz Bass.<\/p>\n

The wide variety in programming will make for an engaging program, and the exceptional musical talent guarantees an exciting and pleasurable experience for all.<\/p>\n

CELEBRATING 12 YEARS OF CHAMBER MUSIC<\/em><\/strong>, the 2017 Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival will bring music to four Manitoba communities: the Erickson Lutheran Church\u202f (Saturday, July 15 – Sunday, July 16); Lorne Watson Recital Hall in Brandon \u2013 Alexander Tselyakov and Daniel Tselyakov the Opening Night \u202f(Wednesday, July\u202f 12) and Chamber Concert (Thursday, July 13), Wasagaming Community Arts, Wasagaming in Clear Lake (Friday, July 14) and \u201cThe Martese\u201d at the Marina in Clear Lake (Saturday, July 15).<\/p>\n

Chamber Masterworks<\/strong>
\nLorne Watson Recital Hall, Brandon University
\nOne of Brahms’ best loved clarinet-piano sonatas and the rarely performed highly romantic and dramatic Piano Quintet in C major by B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k are considered two of the great masterpieces in chamber repertoire. These works will be performed by Alexander Tselyakov, Piano; Peter Stoll, Clarinet; Oleg Pokhanovski, Rodica Jeffrey, Violins; Laszlo Baroczi, Viola; and Brian Yoon, Cello.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nBe sure to get your tickets early for this popular Jazz Cruise Concert which takes you for a scenic evening tour around the peaceful waters of Clear Lake.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\nFestival Grand Finale<\/strong><\/p>\n

Erickson Lutheran Church
\nThe program will include the excellent Britten\u2019s Suite for Violin and Piano with lots of wit and humour and an occasional sinister edge. The Beethoven Piano Quartet Op. 16 is similar to a miniature chamber piano concerto with the virtuosic keyboard part being so critical. It will certainly make a Grand Finale to the Festival.<\/em><\/p>\n
