BU women’s volleyball signs Sanford star

BRANDON, MB – The old adage that recruiting never ends seems true to the point for Bobcats women’s volleyball coach Lee Carter. BU is proud to announce the letter of intent signing of Chloe Reimer from Sanford, Manitoba.

Reimer is one of the top left-sides in Manitoba and has a great background in the sport. She has been one of the main reasons her Manitoba Provincial Teams won gold and silver in the 16-under and 15-under age groups respectively.

“We are extremely excited about Chloe. We know she has the skill and desire to be a success in Canada West,” says Carter. “Chloe is incredibly fit and loves the hard work that comes with being an elite athlete. She will fit in tremendously with our group of players.”

While at Nationals with her 15U and 16U teams, Reimer was selected to the All-Star team in both years. She was also the MVP at 16U Provincials and was Manitoba’s Tachikara 16U Player of the Year in 2008. Reimer also has a passion for the beach game where she has trained with Bobcat athlete Erin Visch-Krahn. She is a two-time silver medalist at Beach Nationals 16U in 2008 and 18U in 2009.

“Since I grew up in a small town, BU seems like the appropriate next step towards improving my volleyball skills as well as working towards my future career,” says Reimer. “I’m impressed with the positive environment and support the University and community offers the volleyball team. Plus I’ll be able to continue with my beach volleyball career, which is a major contributing factor in making Brandon my first choice.”
