BRANDON , MB – This year, BU students will have a “shot” at one free term tuition just for being a Bobcat fan.

Each time a student attends a Bobcat home game, their name will be entered into a draw to be held at the final Bobcat home game this season. That evening, one lucky student will be selected randomly and have the opportunity to sink a half-court shot and win one term worth of tuition at Brandon University.

Student Services in collaboration with the Athletic Department has created this exciting opportunity for students that will be returning to BU in the fall.

“We have been asking all BU students to sign in at every Bobcat game this year,” says Athletic Director Kirk De Fazio. “The more games the students come to the more chances a BU student has to have their name drawn at the final game of the year, to have this fantastic chance to win the value of a term’s tuition.”

The student that receives an opportunity to throw the ball must be in attendance at the final game of the year. If they make the shot, they will have one term’s tuition (maximum 15 credit hours), applied to their fall term in 2010. *

“It is anticipated that this final game of the year will be a Bobcat play-off game,” says De Fazio. “We have two teams nationally ranked, and there is a strong possibility that we will be hosting a play-off game towards the end of February.”
