This article is over 13 years old.

BRANDON, MB – The accolades continue to roll in for Paul Sanderson following his record setting season last year. The native of Melbourne, Australia has been named winner of the Brandon Sun’s H.L. (Krug) Crawford Memorial Award as the region’s top athlete for 2010.

Sanderson’s list of accomplishments continues to grow this year following a spectacular season last year. He was named CIS Player of the Year after leading the country in kills, points, kills per set and points per set. He also set the Canada West single-season record for points.

This season Sanderson has already set one all-time Canada West career record and is chasing down another. Earlier this season he moved into first place all-time for points, and currently sits just 88 kills behind former Saskatchewan Huskie Adam Ens for first place on the career kills list.

One of Sanderson’s most impressive accomplishments is the he’s achieved so much in just three full seasons with the Bobcats, while many other career record holders did it in five.
