BRANDON, MB — The Brandon University Disaster and Emergency Student Society (DESS) and Politics Society (BUPS) are hosting a lecture featuring Gwynne Dyer on February 17, at 7 p.m., at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium. This event is open to students, faculty and alumni of the university as well as the community at large.

Gwynne Dyer is an internationally recognized Canadian journalist and author of several books on international affairs as well as a bi-weekly column, which is published in more than 175 newspapers from around the globe. He will be presenting a lecture called “Climate Wars,” based on his recent book by the same name, which explores the geopolitics of climate change.

Admission is by donation (either non-perishable food item or cash donation) to the BU Food Bank, which helps keep students in need and their families from going hungry.

To reserve a seat, stop by the BUSU office in the Knowles-Douglas Building or call (204) 727-9660. Donations to the Food Bank can be made at BUSU or at the door.
