BRANDON, MB – Local basketball players will soon have the opportunity to hit the floor and play both with and against the Brandon Bobcats. The annual Bobcats Spring Basketball League will begin again in an expanded format this May.
The Brandon Bobcats basketball teams are adding a men’s component to the traditional Ladies Spring League.
All games will be played at the Brandon University Gymnasium on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on May 10. A total of eight games will be played per week. The women will take the court at 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, while the men will follow with games at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
A schedule will be released on May 4 and be posted in the BU Gymnasium and on www.gobobcats.ca. Weekly scores, photos and stories will also be posted to the Bobcats website.
Individual players can register by contacting the Bobcats office by phone at (204) 727-7375 or by email at bobcats@brandonu.ca. The cost per individual is $100 per player.
