BRANDON, MB – The list of recruits for the Bobcats women’s volleyball team continues to grow.  Head coach Lee Carter is pleased to announce that Jenna Poole will be joining the Bobcats this September.

After spending the past season as the starting setter for the Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute Hawks, Poole will look to add to an already impressive resume. Poole has been playing club level volleyball since the age of 13, winning two national championships at the club-level in the process.

Despite her personal success, Poole attributes much of her success to her team-mates, which is a big reason she has signed on with the Bobcats.

“After meeting Coach Carter and the players, I very quickly realized that this is where I wanted to be,” says Poole.  “I could see that on this team everyone supports each other 100 per cent. That’s one of the most important things that you could ask for in a team and I’m thrilled to be able to be a part of it.”

Poole’s list of accomplishments isn’t limited to on-court activities. She’s received First Class Honours in every year of school at MBCI and twice won the MBCI Alumni Scholarship. Poole also has volunteer experience having worked with Habitat for Humanity, the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg, and organizing a blood donor drive at MBCI.
