Bobcats Launch Summer Sports Camps for 2011

BRANDON, MB – With summer around the corner, the Brandon Bobcats are getting ready to hit the court once again. The Bobcats will host their annual Summer Sports Camps again this August in the BU Gymnasium.

The first camp is a co-ed volleyball camp that runs from August 8-12. Designed for students of all skill levels in grades 6-12, this camp teaches individual and team skills.

New this year will be individual volleyball skills sessions. Each day of the week will involve a different skill involved with volleyball, focusing on proper technique and positioning. These skills sessions will run every morning from August 29 to September 2.

Following the individual skills sessions will be the elite volleyball camp for students in grades 8-10 in the afternoon and the senior varsity elite camp in the evening.

The girls’ basketball camp will run the week of August 15-19 during the day. Participants will learn offensive and defensive skills through individual and group drills.  The boys’ basketball camp will run August 22-26.

Healthy lunch program will be available again for camps that run during the day. The lunch menu includes, healthy sandwiches, wraps, soups and snacks. The lunch program will be available to campers for $40 dollars for the week.
