Brandon, MB — Originally scheduled for mid-September, the third biennial Ogamas Brandon University Aboriginal Literary Festival will now take place from November 24 to 26, 2011. As in previous editions, the Festival will be held on campus. This year’s theme is In Many Languages.
This year, the Festival has a theme — In Many Languages — and will be held on campus, as in previous editions.
For this event, organizers — Dr. Di Brandt, Susan Dupuis, Roberta McKinnon, Rachelle Premack, Dale Lakevold and Linda Burridge — have invited more than two dozen professional aboriginal authors, from across the country. These guests will give readings and take part in discussions, all of which is open to the public. Other highlights of the weekend include a visual arts exhibition and a closing night blues social. Admission to most of the Ogamas events will be free.
