BRANDON, MB – Two former Brandon Bobcats will continue their playing careers overseas this season. Bobcat grads Andrew Korol and Erin Visch-Krahn both recently signed contracts with professional volleyball clubs in Europe.

Korol has joined DJK Delbruck in Germany. This is Korol’s second professional contract after jumping to the pro ranks in France following his playing days with the Bobcats.

The graduate of Lord Selkirk Secondary School played four seasons with the Bobcats and was the starting setter for the 2009 Bobcats team that won a bronze medal at the CIS national championships. Korol was also named a tournament all-star at nationals in his final year as a Bobcat.

This season will be Visch-Krahn’s second season of playing pro volleyball. She will join recent Bobcat grad and former team mate Teagan Hunter in Copenhagen, Denmark. The two will be playing for Frederiksberg Volley in the Danish elite league.

Visch-Krahn was the first five-year grad of BU women’s volleyball program and spent last season playing professional volleyball with Engleholm VS in Sweden.

The Winnipeg product will leave October 28, and join the team for her first league game October 30.
