2013 CRRF Conference heading to Northern Ontario!

The 2013 Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation (CRRF) annual conference will be held in Thunder Bay, Ontario from 24-27 October, 2013. Mark your calendars to be sure to join us.

The conference is being co-hosted by the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN), Lakehead University, and the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA). Call for Presentations for Conference and Pre-Conference Symposium

The focus of the Rural Canada – Ready to Grow conference is to facilitate a diverse and lively conversation among community leaders, researchers, professional practitioners, government, and private industry about pressing questions facing rural Canada. Presentations, panel discussion, posters and storytelling are being requested.

The pre-conference Symposium on Revisiting the New Rural Economy is also issuing a call for papers. Individuals with research that utilizes the work of the NRE project, supervised by Bill, or in other ways relate to the new rural economy, are encouraged to submit an abstract. Following the symposium a select group of papers will be chosen for a special edition of the Journal of Rural and Community Development.
