First-year Biology students at Brandon University have access to equipment rarely available at other universities.

In the fall semester they got modern labs to match the equipment.

The Department of Biology recently celebrated the grand opening of the updated labs, which include more versatile and comfortable furniture, new energy-efficient lighting and a fresh coat of paint.

“When you walk in, it’s a much more welcoming space to be in,” Biology student Carrie Bergen told the Brandon Sun. “The lights and the room, even the chairs and the workspace … you can interact with people more easily.”
