Limited services July 2–3 at Brandon University

Brandon University will be closed Wednesday, July 1 for Canada Day and will provide limited services on the two days following. Most of the campus will be closed Thursday, July 2 and Friday, July 3, including most offices and virtual services.

Closures include Admissions, Scholarships and Awards, Financial and Registration Services, Alumni and Advancement, Student Services, including advising, and all faculty buildings and offices, although the School of Music will continue some outbound responses to students.

Library services, including the virtual reference desk, will be closed. Virtual reference weekend hours will resume on July 4. The IT Helpdesk will be closed July 1, and minimally staffed on July 2 and 3 to respond to student needs. Campus Books will remain physically closed but will provide virtual services the mornings of July 2 and 3.

The Healthy Living Centre, which re-opens its fitness centre and walking track with modified hours on Monday, June 29, will be closed Canada Day but open July 2 and 3. Also BU’s Harvest Hall will be open to provide pay-what-you-can meals through the Everyone Eats initiative.

Services will recommence on Monday, July 6, although public access to physical spaces on campus will remain restricted.
