Tuition, parking, meals and more up for grabs with Brandon University vaccine incentives
Brandon University is putting up more than $10,000 in prizes to encourage and reward vaccination against Covid-19.
The ‘Winning Shot’ campaign offers a Grand Prize of $5,000 towards a vaccinated student’s tuition and other fees, including books, residence or meal plan, if they choose. There are also several secondary prizes worth hundreds of dollars each, plus campus gift cards and BU gear.

Brandon University (BU) researchers are studying the opioid crisis, online pricing, and Indigenous traditional knowledge with support from federal Insight Grants announced on Tuesday.
The project leads, Drs. Ariane Hanemaayer, Patricia Harms and Hejun Zhuang will receive a total of more than $275,000 in funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) over the next three years.

In collaboration with Sioux Valley Dakota Nation (SVDN), researchers from Simon Fraser University, Brandon University and the University of Windsor are conducting an investigation to identify the children buried in unmarked graves at the Brandon Indian Residential School, in Manitoba.
The Brandon Residential School Cemeteries Project intends to identify the names of children who died at school while it was in operation from 1895 to 1972.

Brandon University is lending its weight as part of a growing national initiative to “get back together, faster” through vaccinations.
As a founding partner of the “Faster, Together” initiative, which officially launched last week, Brandon University has joined more than 100 other institutions from across the country, representing a broad cross-section of sectors.
