BU Professor appointed to CBC Manitoba community advisory board

January 26, 2022

Brandon University professor Dr. Patty Douglas has been chosen to help people from underrepresented communities have a voice in CBC Manitoba news coverage.

Dr. Douglas is one of 19 members of CBC Manitoba’s first community advisory board.

“As we think about reflecting our community and engaging our community, it’s one more way for us to add to the number of voices that we hear and the perspectives that we get,” John Bertrand, CBC’s senior managing director for the Prairies, said in a CBC News story.

The diverse group of people who make up the board will provide advice that will help to inform news coverage.
