Brandon University Kids Day returns to Royal Manitoba Winter Fair

This article is over 2 years old.

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is back — and with it, Brandon University Kids Day.

Once again, BU is sponsoring Kids Day at the Fair, set for Thursday, March 31 this year. Brandon University will have a special booth on the concourse of the Main Arena all day Thursday, with information, giveaways, and a kids colouring contest.

Brandon University will also present the kids entertainment throughout the day, most of it in the Amphitheatre. This year’s kids entertainment includes Razzmatazz, Captain Corbin the Magician Pirate, Little Buckaroos, and long-time local fan favourite Doodles the Clown with his trademark cry of “Un-believe-able!” Kids who keep their eyes peeled may also spy BU Bobcats mascot Bailey ambling around the Fair.

New this year, BU will also have a presence all week long in the trade show area of the Fair, with different areas of the university represented on different days, including Alumni, the Healthy Living Centre, the Indigenous Peoples’ Centre, and the BU Co-op program. Also, BU’s popular Mini University program will have its own space all week long. Mini U registration will be freshly opened during Fair week, with a full lineup of fun campus programming for kids this summer.

Thank you to the dozens of volunteers from all areas of the university, including staff, faculty, and students, who help make Brandon University Kids Day possible.

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair runs from Monday, March 28 through to Saturday, April 2. Free tickets to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair for kids 12 and under were sponsored by J&G Homes.
