Brandon University is re-launching its one-year certificate program in Business Administration.
A program that gives students the English-language skills they need to pursue post-secondary education is returning to Brandon University (BU).
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) will resume for the 2023-24 academic year, beginning in September 2023.
The return to an in-person Holiday Luncheon at Brandon University helped raise a total of $2,635 for Brandon and Westman Christmas Cheer this year.
The money, raised through a staff-organized basket raffle and 50/50, will go towards holiday hampers in the region.

The BU Board of Governors recently approved the extension of Dr. Linda Ross’ term as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Health Studies through to June 2025.
Research infrastructure at Brandon University (BU) will benefit from a grant of $560,149 through the Government of Canada’s Research Support Fund (RSF) for the 2022-2023 year.
The annual grant helps to pay indirect costs of research at the university, such as administration, including operation of the Office of Research Services, support of regulatory committees, institutional memberships in research organizations and library journals and subscriptions.

Brandon University and the BU Students’ Union marks an important anniversary this year as the Citizen Science building turns 100 years old.
Speeches and refreshments held recently in the Mingling Area helped honour the building’s birthday, with student artwork and historic photos on display.
Constructed between 1922–1923, the Citizen Science building was the third building erected on what was then the Brandon College campus, following the Original Building (1901) and the attached Clark Hall (1906).
Brandon University’s work to be more environmentally sustainable have been recognized by the City of Brandon with a Green Business Award. The awards recognize and celebrate organizations that have taken the initiative to employ efforts in sustainability, water conservation, and waste diversion efforts.

A towering new sculpture and piece of public art that is devoted to Truth and Reconciliation has been installed at Brandon University.
“Healing Together” is an abstract piece, created by sculptor Kevin McKenzie, which is now a permanent focal point on campus.
