Please watch your Brandon University inbox or our website for updates.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><!-- .new-column-box -->\n<\/div><!-- .flex-row -->\n<p><strong>There is no free parking on the Brandon University campus.<\/strong> When parked in University lots,\u00a0 long term permit holders must have their vehicle registered on the parking profile with the correct license plate information and be parked in their designated lot.\u00a0 Only one vehicle from a profile is permitted in the lot at any given time.\u00a0 Lots where hourly parking is permitted will be monitored by digital inquiry of the license plate number or monitoring of the coin meter for ample time.\u00a0 Short term permits must be prominently displayed at the front of the vehicle, visible to parking guards at all times.<\/p>\n<h2>Long Term Park Permit Sale Dates<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Faculty and Staff<\/strong> Parking Permits for the upcoming academic year, will not be available for purchase until July 29th, 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Student<\/strong> Parking Permits for the upcoming academic year, will not be available for purchase until August 19th 2026.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not already have a parking profile, we encourage you to create one online using the link below.\u00a0 Having a parking profile in place will allow you to purchase your parking permit online as soon as permits go on sale.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex-row \" data-column-group=\"2\">\n<div class=\"new-column-box  full count-1\">\n<h3>How to Purchase Long Term Parking<\/h3>\n<p>The following parking permits are available for purchase online only.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>12 month (Sep 1-Aug 31)<\/strong> &#8211; Sales usually open in mid July to early August each year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>8 month (Sep 1-Apr 30)<\/strong> &#8211; Sales usually open in mid July to early August each year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fall Term (Sep 1-Dec 31)<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 Sales usually open in mid July to early August each year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Winter Term (Jan 1-Apr 30) <\/strong>&#8211; Sales usually open in mid December to early January each year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Summer (May 1-Aug 31)<\/strong> &#8211; Please contact <a href=\"&#x6d;&#x61;&#x69;&#x6c;&#x74;&#111;&#58;&#112;&#97;rki&#x6e;&#x67;&#x40;&#x62;&#x72;&#x61;&#110;&#100;&#111;nu&#46;&#x63;&#x61;\">&#112;&#x61;r&#x6b;&#x69;&#110;&#x67;&#64;&#x62;&#x72;&#97;&#x6e;d&#x6f;&#x6e;&#117;&#x2e;c&#x61;<\/a> for these options.<\/li>\n<li><strong>8 month (Jan 1- Aug 31) &#8211; <\/strong>These are not available online and you must contact <a href=\"&#x6d;a&#x69;&#108;&#x74;&#111;&#x3a;&#x70;a&#x72;&#107;&#x69;&#110;&#x67;&#64;b&#x72;&#97;&#x6e;&#100;&#x6f;&#110;u&#x2e;&#99;&#x61;\">&#x70;&#x61;&#114;&#107;i&#x6e;&#x67;&#x40;&#98;&#114;a&#x6e;&#x64;&#x6f;&#110;&#117;&#46;&#x63;&#x61;<\/a> for assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to purchase online, faculty, staff, and students <strong>must register<\/strong> a user profile in our online parking program. Assignment to a specific lot does not guarantee that space will always be available. <strong>If your lot is full, please park in Lot #5 or #6 and notify the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/ancillary\">Ancillary Services office<\/a> immediately.<\/strong> Please note that your parking permit must still be properly displayed. For more information, please contact the Ancillary Services office at (204) 727-7394 or <a href=\"&#109;&#x61;&#x69;&#108;&#x74;&#x6f;:&#x70;&#x61;r&#107;&#x69;n&#103;&#x40;b&#114;&#x61;n&#100;&#x6f;n&#117;&#x2e;&#x63;&#97;\">p&#97;&#x72;&#x6b;i&#110;&#x67;&#x40;b&#114;&#x61;&#x6e;d&#111;&#x6e;&#x75;&#46;&#99;&#x61;<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/p><\/div><!-- .new-column-box -->\n<\/div><!-- .flex-row -->\n<h2>Parking Regulations<\/h2>\n<p>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/parking\/parking-regulations\/\">Parking Regulations<\/a> are available online.<\/p>\n<h2>Hours of Enforcement<\/h2>\n<p>Parking is enforced:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm<\/li>\n<li>Weekends, holidays, and after 4:30 pm on weekdays, there is no charge for parking in staff, student, meter, and ticket-dispenser areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Restricted Areas<\/h2>\n<p>There are some restricted areas which can never be used for parking. Enforcement of these areas will be in effect at all times. These restricted areas include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fire lanes and driveways<\/li>\n<li>No Parking Anytime areas<\/li>\n<li>Handicapped areas (appropriate permit required)<\/li>\n<li>Landscaped areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Alternate Parking<\/h2>\n<p>Persons with permit parking may be required to park their vehicles in alternate locations due to snow removal or special functions which require a large amount of space. Adequate notice will be given prior to these events taking place.<\/p>\n<h2>Refunds<\/h2>\n<p>12 month, 8 month, and 1 term permit holders may request a refund when cancelling their permit early.\u00a0 Please note that long term permits are sold at a discounted rate and if cancelled before the end of the term of permit, the refund calculations will revert back to the monthly non discounted rate.<\/p>\n<p>Refund Calculation Example =\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Student purchased an 8 month (Sept &#8211; Apr) Serviced Space in 2022 at a price of $370.09 + tax<\/p>\n<p>Student wanted to cancel permit February 1st of 2022.\u00a0 \u00a0Student has already used 6 months of parking.<\/p>\n<p>$72.30 + tax (non discounted monthly serviced rate)\u00a0 X 5 months used = $361.50 + tax<\/p>\n<p>Therefor: $370.09 + tax &#8211; $361.50 +tax = $8.59 + tax is Refundable<\/p>\n<p>Temporary parking (hourly, daily, weekly and 1 month parking) is a <strong>final sale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Transfer of Ownership<\/h2>\n<p>Transfer of ownership of a permit is not permitted. Any other use, sale, or assignment is prohibited and will not be recognized by the University.<\/p>\n<h2>Electrical Outlets<\/h2>\n<p>Power supply to electrical outlets is dependent on climatic conditions, see Parking Regulations for detailed information.<\/p>\n<h2>Motorcycles and Motor-Scooters<\/h2>\n<p>Motorcycles and licensed motor-scooters are considered motor vehicles and require parking permits.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is no free parking on the Brandon University campus.
