Indigenous Contributions to the Manitoba Economy – Brandon launch
Members of the BU community and others are invited to attend the local launch of the Indigenous Contributions to the Manitoba Economy report, produced by the Rural Development Institute at Brandon University in partnership with the Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) and Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak (MKO).
Date: Thursday, February 28
Time: 12:30 pm
Location: He Oyate Tawapi (Ceremony Room) – Health Studies Room 141
This launch will celebrate the contributions of Indigenous people to the Brandon region as well as highlight local opportunities that are identified by the report, with an emphasis on the potential of urban reserves. A brief presentation will feature a number of local speakers, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Light refreshment will be provided.
The full report, which was formally launched earlier this year, is available online at Indigenous Contributions to the Manitoba Economy.
