Georgette Nyankson is currently enrolled in the Masters of Rural Development program at Brandon University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Development Planning. Nyankson was born and grew up in Ghana. In Ghana, she worked as a country program coordinator for Volunteer BaseCamp (a Canadian NGO), coordinating international volunteers working on projects in rural and deprived communities. Simultaneously, she worked as a project manager for the United States Air Force’s Language Acquisition Abroad Program in West Africa. Georgette has also worked as a senior research assistant at the Bureau of Integrated Rural Development. She is currently a volunteer (ERT Responder) for the Canadian Red Cross.
