This includes the<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bnrc.ca\/blip\/\">Brandon Local Immigration Partnership<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>(BLIP),<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/westmanimmigrantservices.ca\/\">Westman Immigration Services<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>(WIS),<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mansomanitoba.ca\/\">Manitoba Association of Newcomer Serving Organization<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>(MANSO), and<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/rdi\/files\/2017\/10\/MIRARDI-Immigration-Handout.pdf#:~:text=The%20Migration%20in%20Remote%20and%20Rural%20Areas%20%28MIRRA%29,and%20policy-%20makers%20locally%2C%20provincially%2C%20nationally%2C%20and%20internationally.\">Migration in Remote and Rural Areas Network<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>(MIRRA).<\/p>\n<p>This multifaceted Initiative outlines multiple research projects focused on accompanying these organizations in the integration of new- and support of current- immigrants, refugees and newcomers.<\/p>\n<p>Please see the<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/rdi\/files\/2023\/10\/Immigration-Initiative.pdf\">Immigration Initiative<\/a> and the additional links below for more project information!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meet the Research Team:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project Lead: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/rdi\/files\/2024\/02\/Highlighting-Rural-Researchers-Shirlyn-Kunaratnam-1.pdf\">Shirlyn Kunaratnam<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Partner Highlight:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bnrc.ca\/blip\/\">Brandon Local Immigration Partnership<\/a> (BLIP) is a program of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bnrc.ca\/\">Brandon Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation<\/a> (BNRC) &#8211; a non-profit organization. BLIP collaborates with Citizenship Immigration Canada (CIC) to enhance the capacity of community-based partners in addressing the needs of residence and newcomers. By promoting coordination, cooperation, and involvement from the community, BLIP creates avenues for effective long-term settlement, and integration of immigrants and newcomers to Brandon, Manitoba.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/click.icptrack.com\/icp\/rclick.php?cid=624484&amp;mid=2183432&amp;destination=https%3A%2F%2Fwestmanimmigrantservices.ca%2F&amp;cfid=19494&amp;vh=420b55ba4e141c612e71245282e91f2639a2bb4822a721ab9773393ae923b1ee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Westman Immigration Services<\/a><span>\u00a0(<\/span><span>WIS) is a not-for-profit organization focusing on accompanying immigrants, refugees and newcomers in their settlement within rural Manitoba.
