Residence Open Fall 2020

In keeping with our mission to provide safe and secure housing, Brandon University is pleased to announce the 2020-2021 housing and food services options.
Brandon University Residence will provide single occupancy accommodations at a very affordable price in McMaster Hall, only for the fall of 2020. Students will enjoy their own private room, with brand new modern furnishings, while taking comfort in knowing that this housing option adheres to all recommended health and safety standards as directed by Manitoba Health amidst the Covid 19 pandemic.
Students that choose residence this fall will also be required to select a meal plan that best suits their needs. As the situation continues to unfold regarding Covid-19, BU Food Services has made the decision to operate out of the Down Under. We have had to adjust our operation to ensure that we can continue to deliver the same quality of food and service level that you have come to expect from the last year.
As an alternative to having buffet options, we are working on the following:
- We will be expanding our BU Fresh offerings to include a larger variety of individually wrapped salads, sandwiches and wraps.
- We are working on a new, nutritiously balanced and interesting daily specials menu that will entice you to keep coming back for more.
- We will also be expanding our in-house made products such as our protein bites, in-house made jams, and kettle chips
If you have already submitted your application for residence, please rest assured we will have secured space for you. Information regarding new rates and room options are attached.
Please read over your options carefully. Should you decide that you no longer want to stay in residence, any deposits paid prior to July 17th will be fully refundable. Further communication will be emailed to you soon, outlining how to secure your preferred type of accommodation (i.e. short term, long term, casual). We will make every attempt to find you a suitable arrangement.
IN OTHER EXCITING NEWS….
Brandon University Ancillary Services is launching a new operation providing hotel style accommodations for students, faculty staff and guests this fall. Hotel BU will offer alternative to traditional residence stays on campus. Hotel BU will be ready for your bookings on July 20th.
