The rates presented are estimates of room and board only and are subject to Board of Governor&#8217;s approval.<\/li>\n<li>Meal plans are mandatory for all students in residence. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/food-services\/meal-plan\/\">Click here<\/a> for more information regarding our Meal Plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>First Year PENT: <\/strong>Arrival weekend of March 21st for PENT Orientation.<br \/>\n<strong>Upper Year PENT: <\/strong>Arrival weekend of April 4th for First Day of PENT Classes.<\/p>\n<h2>Room Rates<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Note: Students in the PENT Program begin their stay in the Winter Term and may be assigned in any 3 of our residence halls; however, after May 1st BU Residence transitions into the Spring\/Summer Term and all studying students should expect to move buildings and\/or rooms. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Many students will be placed in double occupancy rooms.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Example One: <\/strong>A first-year PENT student may be assigned to a McMaster double occupancy room for March 21 and a McMaster economy single for May 1 &#8211; charged prorated double rate (March 21-April 30) plus a prorated economy single rate (May 1-program end).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Example Two: <\/strong>An upper year PENT student may be assigned to a McMaster double occupancy room for April 4 and a Flora Cowan standard single for May 1 &#8211; charged prorated double rate (April 4-April 30) plus a prorated standard single rate (May 1-program end).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Students who change room types will be charged using a prorated rate based on days spent in each room.
