Stay physically distant

Physical and social distancing can minimize the transmission of the virus. When interacting, do your best to stay as far apart as practical. Try to maintain a distance of two metres (about six feet) between you and others people as much as possible. Avoid greetings such as handshakes – give a wave instead — and minimize prolonged (more than 10 minutes), close in-person contact with others.

Brandon University has installed floor decals to mark appropriate distances in areas where lineups may be common. There are also directional arrows on the floor, limited capacities in elevators, and other indicators for you to watch for an follow. Although some hallways and stairwells are narrow, incidental contact within two metres, for example as you pass another person, is permitted.
