Undergraduate Research Scholarships & Awards
A research scholarship or research award is money granted to a student primarily on the basis of research promise or achievement.
Deans’ Awards for Undergraduate Research Excellence
Award value = $500 (Awards of Distinction); $250 (Awards of Merit)
One Award of Distinction and one Award of Merit is available annually in each of the following areas: social science, natural science, humanities, health studies, and education.
To be eligible for consideration, you must meet all of the eligibility criteria below:
- Successful completion of a 300 or 400-level course at Brandon University within the past year;
In the Faculty of Education, any 300 or 400-level undergraduate course is eligible.
- Completion of an essay or thesis (or equivalent) in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the course indicated above.
You may submit work for consideration in more than one category, but you may not submit more than one work to a single category. No student may receive more than one award per year.
Jointly authored work will be considered, and if selected, the monetary award will be divided equally between all authors.
