It is granted primarily on high academic performance, but the recipient must also show proof of financial need.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To be eligible for Entrance Scholarship-Bursary consideration, you must meet all of the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;<\/li>\n<li>Attend Brandon University directly from an accredit Canadian high school;\n<ul>\n<li>A one-year \u201cgap year\u201d is permitted as long as you do not pursue any post-secondary education during that time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Have a Grade 11 or Grade 12 scholarship average of at least 85%;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate that you have financial need;<\/li>\n<li>Submit an online application and any required supporting documents in advance of the published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/scholarships\/award-deadlines\/\">deadline<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/scholarships\/entering-students\/entrance-scholarships\/board-of-governors-bog-entrance-scholarships\/\">BoG Entrance Scholarships<\/a> section of this website for details on how scholarship averages are calculated.<\/p>\n<p>You are able to apply for scholarship-bursaries once you have been admitted to Brandon University.\u00a0 See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/scholarships\/apply\/\">How to Apply page<\/a> for detailed scholarship-bursary application instructions.<\/p>\n<h2>Demonstrating Financial Need<\/h2>\n<p>You must enter accurate information in each of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonu.ca\/scholarships\/apply\/declaring-financial-need\/\">financial information fields<\/a> that are part of the main financial awards application.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A scholarship-bursary is a scholarship with a financial need component.
