New Student Advising
If you are starting your university studies in September 2018, please do not do the New Student Advising at this time. You will receive a notice in mid-March advising you of how to proceed for course advising.
If you are starting your studies in January 2018:
Welcome to Brandon University! As you begin your journey at BU, we at Student Services are here to provide you with the resources and advice you’ll need to be successful.
What is Mandatory New Student Advising?
As there are a number of degree requirements and regulations that can be confusing, all new students accepted to Arts, Science, Arts/Education Integrated, Business Administration, Physical Education, or Health Studies (Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing) are required to go through the New Student Advising process.
Before you can speak with an academic advisor and pick your courses, you must watch a series of New Student Advising videos and pass a quiz with a 75% or better. It is vital that you watch all of the videos as they will prepare you for your advising appointment.
If you are a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education Integrated, Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, please click on one of the following links.
